Well into hour 9 of the read-a-thon I finally finished a book: Solar by Ian McEwan. It is the first book I finished, which, combined with my source-reading makes my total of pages 260. I might read another small book, before trying to get some sleep. This means I won’t be updating for a long time, I’ll be back in the morning (GMT) and will probably be able to post something and participate in the last 4-6 hours of the read-a-thon (I might still be reading in between). Good luck to everyone still out there, who isn’t going to sleep or is still at another time of day!
As for a further mini-challenge, I am participating in the Soundtrack Song one by Alita Reads, you can find it over here.
As for a song, I picked Styrofoam Plates, by Death Cab For Cutie, from their album “the Photo Album” for the book I just finished: Solar, – Ian McEwan.
The reason I picked this song is because of my intense dislike for the main-character. The line of this Death Cab song: “He was a bastard in life, thus a bastard in death” kept flashing through my mind while reading the book. He really is a bastard that, whatever happened to him during the story, you cannot help but dislike.
