This is a static page about anything to do with Dutch Lit in translation and Dutch Lit Month as featured on this blog.
Dutch Lit Month started with the intent to highlight literature originally written in the Dutch language for an international audience, and in an attempt to make myself more familiar with the literary culture in my own language. The review database is a result of the past Dutch Lit Months and is a place where I collect URLs of reviews/posts written about Dutch Literature published in translation for those possibly looking for a next read.

My definition of Dutch literature is contained to books written in the Dutch language. The Dutch language is taken as larger than that spoken in the Netherlands, and may encompass Flemish, or books from the former Dutch colonies that were written in Dutch. Literature can be understood to include both fiction and non-fiction, and books for all ages, ranging from children’s picture books to adult literary fiction.
