UK/European Book Blogging Conference?

This last week there have been a lot of sighs and other lamenting coming from book bloggers who haven’t been able to go to the New York Book Blogger Conference. While talking to Amy from Amy Reads, Stu, Ana and (later on) I thought that it would be great if it were possible to organise such an event in Europe or the UK. I have no organisation skills, and neither do Ana or Stu, and so we’re looking for volunteers who do have some experience. I’d be willing to help, but I couldn’t do it on my own, nor with just 2 persons. Grad-school is taking too much of my time to work things out. However, I’m sure that if there was a certain amount of volunteers (and some with hopefully more experience than us) we could definitely do this.

Wouldn’t you love to meet fellow bloggers, talk about your ideas on blogging, etc?

We’re thinking that next spring/summer would be the best time, because organisation would take some time. We’re also still trying to decide on a location. Somewhere in the UK seems the most logical, since most European bloggers are from there.

Anyway, would you like to help? Do you have any ideas on how, when, where to organise this? Please let me or Ana or Stu know!

Stu has also posted about this, you can find it here.

Oh & of course bloggers from outside of Europe would be most welcome to join us!

Edited to add that there now is a central place to discuss your ideas, it can be found here
