As it’s now officially the fifth hour of the read-a-thon, I thought it was time for an update. I haven’t read incredibly much: I managed 2 chapters in a sourcesbook (approx. 60 pages) and the end of part 1 of Solar, as well as part 2 of Solar by Ian McEwan, which comes to about 100 pages. I have not finished any books. I might finish Solar before sleep, or I might pick up a lighter read. It is 6.30 pm here and around dinner time. I am however staying over at my unofficial parents-in-law (since I’m not married) and am bound to their dinner-times as well as their friendly conversations. I’m just going to wait and see how the next couple of hours go, but I will try to post another update.
I am enjoying Solar so far, it being my first Ian McEwan read. I’m glad, I have 3 more books by him on my shelves waiting to be read.
I have not yet visited any other participants, but I’m going to try and do that now.
